matt's thoughts:

Today is a sad day for me. My good friend and the person that brought my family and I up here to Northern VA is headed off to the dirty south to make his mark on the rest of the country.

It was cool to see everyone at Whiteboard and to have the opportunity to serve with Ben in that endeavor especially. I think what struck me was seeing all of the people that wished they could work with Ben, and sit under his leadership, a privilege that I had for 3 years!

As I am stepping into a new role at my church, I couldn't have stepped into a better situation. Ben's leadership and desire to release other leaders into ministry have set us up so well for this next season in our church.

I have truly grown as a leader and as a man of God in my time serving with Ben...the folks at Catalyst made a good move by scooping him up. I can't wait to see how God will use my friend on larger and larger scales throughout the years. I'll miss you man...today is a sad one for me...but a great one for the ATL!
