Maddie, not quite 3, is my little helper in the kitchen. Her face lights up when I ask her if she wants to help me make dinner and she always does a great job! But last night, as we had just finished up some prep work in the kitchen and were waiting for my husband to come home, he called to say he was on his way. Maddie made it very clear that she wanted to talk to him over the phone, so I passed it off to her. After some casual conversation this is what I hear:
"and Daddy, sometime could you fix dinner all by yourself?"
" yeah, you fix dinner all by yourself."
" because, mommy is too busy. She's too busy cooking dinner. So you need to do it by yourself sometime, okay?"
good to know she's looking out for me.
