Today starts a 14 day hiatus from eating sugar for me. I've got just a few stubborn baby pounds left that I want to get rid of and a need to break my sugar cravings and kick my sweet tooth to the curb. So I've set myself a beginning goal of a short and manageable two weeks with a strict approach. I do so love sweet things - but I really do know how terrible sugar is for me, so it's really not too disappointing. The rule is no sweets, desserts, sugar, honey, agave syrup, foods containing a significant amount of sugars, and a limit to my fruit consumption for these 14 days (I don't do artificial sweeteners, so there really won't be much substitute for sweet treats). I do have one exception built in - Matt's birthday. I will have a serving of his birthday dessert to celebrate. I think that setting a short duration plus one built in cheat to look forward to gives me confidence that I'll reach my goal - and then I hope to reset my goal for an additional two weeks.

sugar is in everything, best of luck! Let us know how it goes.

There is some variations in whoopie pies, but for the most part, they're the same. Sometimes you can find ones made with pumpkin too. My mother-in-law makes awesome whoopie pies, but I agree, it's hard to eat a whole one. They also freeze well and are super-yummy to eat after partially thawing. Mmmm...
Oh, after all that, kudos to you on the no-sugar thing!
