My brother in law is a celiac, and they live in Costa Rica, so it's really hard to get gluten free stuff! Rob's sis always stocks up at whole foods when she comes. I can't imagine dealing with that! Crazy.

thanks so much for this post tricia! we've had a long road adjusting to my husband's celiac diagnosis almost a year ago, and it's reassuring to know how much awareness is growing. i wanted to mention that doctors can also test for the genes that are linked to celiac disease, but it's not often covered by insurance if you are a first degree relative with no symptoms. brian didn't develop symptoms until he was 33.
