I have been reading the Ramona books (Beverly Cleary) with Michaela, and she loves them! Also Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was a big hit.

Junie B. Jones is darling!

Series you could try:
- The Boxcar Children (Gertrude Chandler Warner)
- Judy Moody (Megan McDonald)
- Amelia Bedelia (Herman Parish)

There are lots of good first chapter books that are not series. If possible, I would try to introduce your daughter to as many authors as possible. Children who read a variety of types of books early on tend to be stronger and more flexible readers later in life.
