When I started this blog, I started a series called "Mama Chef." Generally, moms are the cooks of the household, so I was hoping to be helpful as I picked each kind of food and did some writing about easy techniques for preparing and a recipe or two. The fact is, I really enjoy cooking and food - it's another one of those creative processes for me. I get bored with the same menu really easily and we almost never have the same thing two weeks in a row. I'm always researching recipes and nutrition and techniques and stuff, so I figured I'd start sharing. After all, even if you love to cook, if you have a family there are times when it becomes nothing more than a chore you wish you didn't have to do at that moment. Anything that makes it more interesting, easy, or pertinent is generally a good thing.
